David Mills is a Master Carpenter with over 30 years of experience. Beginning as an apprentice in Northern Virginia, he quickly rose to joining with the famed Jersey Devil Design/Build team on The Hoagie House, completed in 1986. This was a life-changing experience for David as their tenets of organic construction and unique designs influences his craftsmanship to this day. His complimentary knowledge of plumbing and electrical led to David being tapped to speed-build secured facilities for the Department of Defense in Central America with a three-man team. He returned to work in Virginia, but was soon asked to move to Colorado to create a large arched timber truss for the vacation home of a prominent Virginia family in Bachelor Gulch.
Over the next two decades, David crafted timber frame trusses for homes from Aspen to Vail to Breckenridge to Steamboat Springs. The Aspen Valley Harley Davidson showroom in Glenwood Springs, Colorado was one of his last projects in Colorado. Now based in Iowa, David designs and builds custom cabinetry, trim, remodeling, furniture, and accent pieces. He has also added masonry to his skill set working with tile and stone.
He listens to clients to create their vision. David’s talent, experience, and passion shows in his craftsmanship. Personal design, heirloom quality, for value and heritage.
